COVENANT HOUSE
Covenant House is a fantastic organization that houses young men and women, and creates a safe environment for those facing homelessness and human trafficking, among other crises.
Alexis Haney, USA Office Manager, received wonderful feedback from the young women who attended the event, including this from one of the attendees:
We’re incredibly proud to be an ongoing partner of Urban Promise USA, a remarkable organisation committed to creating a compassionate and just world by empowering underprivileged youth. Their mission deeply aligns with Motel’s values, particularly around female empowerment and community support.
Together, we’ve hosted multiple pop-up charity events in Camden, New Jersey, creating uplifting shopping experiences for girls aged 13–16. Many of the attendees come from disadvantaged backgrounds and have never had the opportunity to choose clothing for themselves. We aimed to make each event feel special, offering Motel clothing they could try on and take home, along with thoughtful touches like fitting rooms, mirrors, and Motel-branded bags to enhance their experience.
In partnership with L’Oréal, we also provided hair, skincare, and makeup products, further helping the girls feel seen, celebrated, and cared for.
These events have left a lasting impact, with some of the same girls returning the following year and still talking about their first experience. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Urban Promise and creating more moments that matter.
