On a bright and early morning in Bali during October 2024, Motel volunteers gathered at Berawa Beach for a powerful and productive clean-up. 40+ members of the team rolled up their sleeves and teamed up with the ZeroWaste Centre from the R.O.L.E. Foundation to tackle plastic pollution head-on.

In just 90 minutes, we collected more than 86 kg of inorganic waste: plastic, debris, and litter that was on its way to pollute our oceans or contribute to the growing issue of microplastics.

Following collection, the waste was carefully sorted and recycled, making sure that what was once harmful to the environment became part of a sustainable solution.

This clean-up is part of Motel’s ongoing commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable environment. Together, we’re showing that small actions can create a big impact.
